Iconic comic strip had Monmouth roots

A Boots strip from 1931 depict Boots’ buddies in a billiards parlor based on Mitchell’s Pool Hall in Monmouth. One of the characters wears a letter sweater with an “M,” similar to a Monmouth College sweater.
