The largest outbreak of the Spanish flu on the Monmouth College campus in 1918 was among male students who were members of Student Army Training Corps. The cadets were housed in Woodbine Cottage, a large house that stood across Broadway from Wallace Hall. The unit posed for this panoramic photo on Nov. 29, 1918, eight weeks after it was formed. It would be disbanded three weeks later.
